Community Connections (Production and technical training)
Are you interested in learning more about theatre production but prefer to work behind the scenes? Do you want hands-on experience in a professional theatre venue? This year Crossroad Arts in association with the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre will launch technical and production training for FREE!
Alongside the experienced MECC production team learn the basics on how to operate lights, audio and projection equipment. You will have the opportunity to learn the ropes at the MECC and also how to set up and operate production equipment for a Crossroad Arts show!
All levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Please note there are limited spots for this training. For those interested beyond this training there will be opportunities to use these skills in a live production.

Access: Both venues are wheelchair accessible. For all other access requirements
including Auslan, please let us know when registering.
Crossroad Arts will make sure there are small group as the training rotates between audio, lights and projection to ensure everyone gets a chance to work with the equipment hands on.
